One of my favorite spots to paddle, the Maribyrnong River, stretching between Footscray and Essendon, with the CBD in the background, and Flemington Racecourse (home of the Melbourne Cup) over the river - you can see them setting up for the Spring Racing Carnival.

PT Woody and I often paddle about 3km up-river, and do sprints training at the Essendon Rowing Club, before cruising back down to the Footscray Rowing Club launching pontoon. We usually do somewhere between 8 - 10kms.

Yesterday morning I took out my beloved SB Ace 14' x 27".
