I'm probably already a little biased but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts/experiences.
Due to my location its difficult to train with a regular group and as an alternative I'd like a Garmin 920/Fenix so that shared workouts can be run on it.
I'd just be interested to hear what peoples experiences are with both the 920XT and Fenix 3.
I'm just thinking that if I was going to wear it daily the Fenix (Sapphire) may the one to go for.
Thanks...

I recently putchased the Forerunner, but found it is cheap plastic construction, with a easy to scratch screen and pretty ugly in the blue black or red white.
Now have the Fenix 3.
Wait out to buy one, as the Fenix 3 with HR in the watch "fenix 3 hr" has just been released in usa, so should be here soon too. Great watch. Gps is 1000 times faster fix than my Suunto Ambit. Connect app is great. Can find my find your friends etc and check their daily movement activity etc.
The sleep function in tracking is nonsence - got up and worked for an hour at 1am and it said I had a full 8 hours sleep. But sport tracking, gps and hr run band gives lots of data.
Well worth the money.
Good quality watch, very durable - have been expecing a few scratches but nothing yet.
Much more detailed and advanced than the Ambit, better Australian support, so highly recomended.
Shop around as you can find a good price online then bring it to Rebel sport to price match or beat.
Any questions, let me know

Thanks for that.
I was already leaning towards the Fenix I have to say. And did wonder if the std one would drop in price once the HR is released here.
Did you buy the Sapphire screen version or the std?
I'm assuming the run band is ok for water sports? Might seem a daft question but I see they do a tri band too which I assume is waterproof.
Thx for the replies... Rebel price match do they.. right. I'll have a surf and get in there with my best finding, good tip thx!

Have a look at a Garmin Quatix. Does 90% of the Fenix, plus you can plot a route at home, sync it to your watch and your watch will give you bearing & distance to each waypoint - and they're cheaper! It also has a compass and a function where you can navigate back to where you started, just in case you can't find your car.
You do need to buy the HR monitor separately if that's your thing.
Well worth the look...
