I see that there are a few GoPro models.
Which one would be the best for surfing, windsurfing and SUP?
And how much would I expect to pay?
Thanks

Oh Ok.
I see that there is a Helmet HERO Wide, Surf HERO and a Wide HERO.
So if I get the Surf HERO what does it come with? Can I buy additional attachments?
Is the software and specs of these cameras all the same?

You require the surf hero wide.

Yes there are extra options as add on bits.

But the base package is as you mention.

Surf

Helmet etc etc

You can buy the surf and for a extra $40 get the helmet parts

Yes all the same specs, 170 wide lense/ Wide versions only

Cool BP thanks.
Are people using this attachment for mounting on the front of their SUPs?
Is that white thing a suction doo hickey or a double sided tape thingo?
It looks like everyone is putting the GoPro onto the Casso Sucker instead?

Greeny-the white plate comes with the cam-there's a separate little plate that you stick on as the leash plate (that's the small quarter pie shaped plate missing from your bottom photo).

I use the GoPro sucker and the small black stick on plates you can buy as extras (on my kite and surf boards).

Great little camera-fogging in cold water is a bit of hassle-fine in summer water temps and the tropics.

Gday Roomie,
newcastlesup.com has them (GOPRO wide) at his on-line store, dunno what the freight is for them now but he gives really good after sale service.
As for the fogging issue,we get that here in the warmer weather but Simon at newcastlesup told me that if you load the camera into the housing whilst sitting in your car with the aircon blasting it lowers the air temp in the housing and stops the fogging dramas,
