Is there anymore young rippers out there SUPing? I know of the young crew like Kai, Keahi, Kristi, Riggs and Byronmaui's young + the young gun race paddlers like Jake, Conner, Slater Trout but are there more?
There is a young bloke called Kai Bates who is in our Sydney Club and is 16 who rips. He won the last club comp and has made a few finals - gets better every time we see him.
16yr old hayley Harrison from Oahu! She just won the 14ft class in Molokai crossing beating some big names. She also beat me at bop Hawaii. This chick Is awesome and slowing coming out and doing more races and surfing comps. My feeling is that we will see a heap of younger guns soon. X
I had the pleasure of watching him at a south coast break last week and pound for pound he takes on waves that should freak him out.
He paddled into for him an overhead peeler, casually bottom turned pulled off a nice reo, floated over a section and then tore it up in the reform and then claimed it stepping off on the shore.
