After a long thread a few weeks back I finally go the answer today!

This morning I had one of the deeper mysteries of Paddle Surfing resolved!

The couple I was taught this morning were chalk and cheese, SHE was comfortably cruising up and down the beach whist HE was, shall we say - 'struggling'.

So I raised the inevitible topic of how women seem to be so natural at Paddle Surfing and the direct answer was - its my heels! "I spend so much time at work balancing on my high heels, that this makes the whole balancing thing a breeze".

I have yet to find a more direct and logical explanation to one of Paddle Surfings deeper mysteries.

As I don't have a picture of my couple from this morning, here is a pic of Felicity Urquhart from Ch7's Synday Weekend who came down recently to enjoy the splenders of Balmoral Beach and the joys of Paddle surfing ( I love my job! )

I love my job!

Don't forget a lot of women are also more in tune with pilates and yoga and the such like. I think when guys start something they think they have to muscle it and as a consequence are rigid and go off balance quicker. The women understand that less force is needed and they should just flow with it to get where they want.

I just returned from the beach,I took a close eye on a surf school lesson.
I noted the girls were getting the hang of it much faster than the boy's!

Yeah, SPOT ON there Jackson!
I have to agree with you - this is the key from my observations as well.
But I am commited to ongoing research!
