I think it's Hawaii.. Near Diamond Head.

Lucky it didn't go in fins first.

Was speaking to a good mate of mine Saturday night who works for one the major roof rack manufacturers.. They are working on a sup roof rack but the biggest issue other than toeing down is the actual rack becoming loose over time and coming off when loaded with a board

Check your rack boys and girls

yeah what he said...this happened to a well known boardsports identity some months ago...roof rack came off and board gone, somewhere on a highway.

Of course we could have it wrong, no roof racks-board won't fit inside, easy slam it in windscreen

The Mythbusters boys would be horrified by this. They busted the myth of the surfboard going through a windscreen and killing someone. They didn't think to try a SUP.

what will be the difference between normal roof racks and those designed for SUP? I figure there is only so much Desgin that can go into a bar that crosses the roof of a car.......

as for racks coming loose, I would say this more prevelant on cars with the 2 bars closer together. The board has more leverage on these racks, wind buffeting will create some harmonics and thats where issuse will start at the rack connection point. I wounder if enough hrs given that the rack could distort the gutter or roof attachment point.....

Actually funny you say that husq, i forgot to mention that their recommendation is not only tie you board to the rack but also to some other point on on the car as a safety.......its pretty easy for me as i have a big bull bar but say DJs Suzuki?
