I cant get past the idea that the board submerging up to the pad does not slow you down. Any more insight after spending more time in DW conditions? Thanks again for the time spent on videos, they really help me make my mind up when deciding which board to get next. I sold my 2014 glide gx in the hopes that the 2015 would be a better all around shape, but now im wondering if picking up a 2014 LE at a discount is the way to go.

Did my first downwinder on Sunday... Padled Shoreham (Pines) to Flinders pier with a good mate of mine, 10-12 knots northerly tailwind, on my Fanatic Prowave 8'10" - we caught a few waves on the way too!!!

Picked up by the good lady wives at the end, then a slap up feed at the pub, followed by chocolates and coffee at the mornington peninsula choc company.
Hows them apples for a fathers day treat!!
