Hello! Nice to meet you all! I recently joined, but I've been watching the forum for a little while, and everyone sounds so experienced and passionate about SUP! I'm learning more each day here. I'm completely new to SUP - I started just two months ago.
I'm taking a class for cultural anthropology, and since the guidelines for my project gave a lot of freedom, I wanted to make SUP my topic so I could learn more about it. I'll be doing a presentation to the class as well as a paper, so maybe it could get a few people interested in trying it out as well.
It would be great to have personal accounts of what SUP is like - it would make the paper and presentation much more lively. Would anyone be interested in a brief, informal interview (via email or chat) about SUP and how it impacts your life? At least two people would be ideal, and more would be great! It's fun listening to my SUP instructor talk about his experiences on the water, and I'd love to hear about all the unique situations SUP has brought to your life as well.
Ultimately, my goal is to learn more, so I hope to get to know everyone better as I gain experience with the sport! Please tell me if there's anything you think I should know. Are my plans a bit off? Should I change anything? Is there something flying over my head? My attempts at most things are riddles with mistakes, so do tell me if there's something I could be handling better. :) Thank you, and nice to meet you all again!
