Ok I've just posted a new topic about this, but anyone knows if I can fly with a 9"5 to Tahiti?
That's my home (although I live in Australia now) and I really want to take my board with me, I don't think I need to explain too much, that video says it all

nah looks awful I would much rather be paddling in the Lake here than in those crystal clear waters. Dear God I bet they even have women in bikinis on the beach when you land and some form of resort style pool, disgusting.

Okay Geeraldine, take me with you and let me stay rent free and I will pay for your sup to get over there. You are one very lucky human being!!! Good luck with the SUP transport. I've been told that Air New Zealand say one thing but are fairly relaxed with their board transport. Some of the Kiwi's that have gone to Hawaii mentioned it a while back. Come on Jacko, Gizzie surely you're in the know???!!!

Yes, and can you imagine the queue at the bar when that giant pack of paddlers came in?

Haha Leroy13, well, that's an option to consider :-)
Just booked my tickets now with Air Tahiti Nui, which is code share with Qantas... ATN told me they were ok but only on their flights and not code share. Crossing my fingers, I think I'll go very very early at the airport to make sure I'm alright, I have a bad feeling about Qantas!

Cold Hinano beer is waiting for you straight from the back of some Hilux ute parked close to the beach, don't even need to find a bar
