I am more than 120kgs. I love the Quick Blade Kanaha All Carbon. I use the large size (110 sq inches) and the stiff shaft. I only use this in the surf. I keep reading about smaller blades for surf but the large blade suits my paddle style. The "40" shaft is much better for big blokes.

The new(ish) Kialoa GL Surf is built to be strong, if you can afford one.

I'm heavier than you, I use ke nalu paddles, a 100 flex elite with Maliko blade for flat water and racing, and a 60 flex X-tuff with Molokai blade for surf and DW. Have broken a couple of other brands but I've pounded my ke Nalus and have complete confidence in them. Plus in the unlikely event that I break something, they are modular and replacement components aren't a hassle.."forever paddle" policy gets you replacement parts at substantial discount. And above all the paddles really work...demo a couple if you can.

so far ive broken 1 naish makani, 1 quickblade kanaha, 2 fanatic inegras. All were replaced on warranty and all broke in the first few paddles.

the kanaha elite head was replaced, its nearly 18 months old now. i love it. and im confident in it.

if i was going to get another blade id be looking at the new QB for sure.

horses for course, u cant run a 315kw ls2 engine through a datsun 180b diff!! it doesnt work..
