its a 7 inch performance.after yesterday's surf we are going to try a 6 inch.the idea is it's just an over sized thruster.the thing carves unreal, hoping to loosen it up a bit with the 6 inch and get portions right- carving and looseness
cheers

mine is 8 10 x 29 x 4.25,i think its a comfy size. i'm going to take 20 mm of each side of the swallow about up to the front fins with dale tomorrow. just prefer a slightly smaller tail area

Hey Guys,

You dont hear his name on this forum but dont discount Dave Boyd Imperial Surfboards.

Dave has made a few custom sups and they Rock! They are all glass not epoxy though!

The Red and Orange 8'2 tripple flyer spiral V with 6 inch nose kick is a weapon. Nesha 10yrs old can climb over 2ft high white water on this and it turns with her 34kg on a dime.

He scales them up to any size you want!

The workmanship finish and quality are without doubt second to none!

70+% of the longboards ridden at the Vicco titles this year were Imperials and he also maked boards for Josh Constable.

Lacey,

That board is so far out of my league! Dave himself can ride it but he could also ride a fence post! I have seen another guy Matty shread on it like it was a 6'1

The Pink Tigerstripe Board is also a work of art, spiral V double to single concave, dish in the nose.

Kristiana just makes it sing.

Dave really knows his sh!t in the SUP area!

when you say dish in the nose, do you mean like a big concave? this factor seems to be a common practice in the better shorter boards i know about. ive been told it gets the board easier onto the wave

I believe it flattens the rocker for more gilde on to the wave and it also assits with nose riding!

i've had a bit more time to think about that question.yes true, i've only tried a couple aussie boards. however i have watched most of the footage on this forum.i watched some heats at the mal function. i regularly surf currumbin alley and have seen all sorts of boards and have watched some amazing surfers.now,i lent my board to someone who is a good surfer, but no pro. based on how the board moved and the turns that were happening i will stand by my comments about the new dc's being near the top.

ps. i have been surfing boards for 35 years

No offence but i seriously believe you would be well served by getting on a few more boards and make your personal comments based on your own personal findings on all those boards and not on what you see other people do on them. yes i agree that dale is a great shaper and is certainly up there as a designer/shaper in the big picture but there are many good shapers in this country and elsewhere who deserve to have their boards ridden and given the praise they duly deserve. i know this forum is all about personal expression but jeez some people on it change their allegiances so quickly and then forget about all the great boards they have ridden and made them the surfer they are today. I have no problem with people giving their personal opinions but I like many others appreciate qualified bold statements. Maybe its just a nsw thing - make a big statement and be able to back it up (IMO)

hey i see your point, i'm just exited by this board, i'm doing stuff i didn't think i could do on a sup.this is my 7th board. i would have 20 different shapers boards if i could. i know shapers wouldn't talk themselfs up.if you feel strongly about a shapers board say something, i'm hungry for it all
cheers [:)

Check the muzzle on the trainee pit bull.Whats the idea, keep its fangs out of the kid or the board.Suppose it stops the mut picking up crap off the beach.
