Ok, so after peeling the deck grip off (reasonably easy) I was left with the glue. As I was advised in the previous forum, I began using eucalyptus oil, fantastic if you have a blocked nose , but not affective or quick, as I lack patience. My next test was turps, now we're talking, give the rag a good soak and dribble some on the board, rub in and leave a minute or so. scrape off excess glue and finish off by rubbing more with turps saturated rag.
wash down board with warm soapy water to get rid of the oils.

thanks for suggestions

Wax and grease remover, Ive used this stuff on heaps of different boards works a treat!!

Get the foam off fiest and you are left with the glue.

Soak a rag in it and saturate the area, repeat untill finished.
