SECURITY: For those situations where there is no one around to lazily read a book while SOLOSHOT does all the work, SOLOSHOT has built in security features that allows your camera to be locked to SOLOSHOT and the SOLOSHOT TriPod can be locked to any permanent or semi-permanent structure (such as a large pieces of driftwood, lifegaurd stand, park bench... so be creative!).

Not that I would buy one.

motion sensor alarm system that maybe transmits any disturbance to the rider in the surf would be a good feature.

I ordered and paid for one online a while ago as was interested to see if they work on not.

Nothing has turned up yet and no response to emails ... so maybe they dont

Purchased a Solo Shot last month and have been playing around with it for a little while now. It's rather fiddly to try and get it in the right position to lock you in the centre of the screen... but once you get that figured, it seems to work quite well.

Had a couple of sessions of recording waves with no one on them... until we mastered it. Only downside so far is that the footage has to be taken from a minimum of 200ft away...

Attached is some recent footage taken with the solo shot in action.

Mine turned up the other day and I know what you mean that is a bit tricky to set it up so you are centre frame.

I found rather than just using the red LED sync I just pick a spot down the beach and set the vid camera up so it's centered.

I then walk down the beach and position myself at that spot, then push the sync button. Easier then trying to do it when you are paddeling back and forth

See if that helps avoiding the empty wave problem!
