fri- late start sleep in, a 12'6 surf at the alley. i see jacko and angie tandam surfing on a southpoint, the sup(the puppy) on the nose for a long ride. ali and sondra are out on their 12'6 too. another play in the afternoon
sat -early in's and outs training at laceys. the roar crew turn up too. i reckon about 25 paddlers out.i have to cut the session short as my leg wound is starting to look a little soggy. another play in the afternoon trying to keep my leg dry
sun -sleep in. waiting for the wind, doesn't look like its going to happen.i'm getting ocean itchy so i decide to paddle the dc 15' to north kirra and back, hoping the wind might get up for the paddle back- it doesn't. kelly drops in on the ski and we have a chat while i'm paddling. another play in the afternoon- creek mouth. hop out of the water- it a awesome sunset evening- feeling contented
mon- cruisey morning, get the new dc 14 to try on a run- there's wind and the dw ings good. the 14 is fanastic, half strokes into runners and bump jumping. i hear everyone who ventured out had a good time of it
tues- back to normal week mode- training 5.15, it buckets down half way through.
finish at 6.30 ish. cmc texts for a run late morning- yep, i'm up for that. i ring dale and tell him i'm thinking about the blue 12'6. no no come to the shop and get the 14 again- i'm happy about this
cmc has first digs on the new 14 while i take his 14. we change half way. i think i get the better deal out of it because it gets rough and messy in sections from there on, but still some great long rides. the elephant rock to alley section isn't runners, just wave riding. score a neat wave on the point right through into the creek mouth. we have a chit chat about the run and the boards as we paddled up the creek
that's it- not a bad way to go

. the charts look real good tomorrow, but reality calls and it work time
