There has been a couple of bad news stories re customer service, but I have a good news story. Broke a paddle I bought from core boardsports that broke this morning while surfing at ocean grove in some great little waves. Took it back to Dave I think and he replaced it no problems at all. So without hesitation I would recommend him, great work. I don't know the guy I just like good service.
Awesome! Good to spread positive feedback - as you say, you always hear about the negative. Its of note that they probably did not have to replace the paddle - I think you pretty much are not covered if you break a paddle, unless its a manufacturing fault. If I may ask.... was it some kind of defect, do you think?
