it took a while but it worked

took the missus down to the bay for her first sup paddle and she killed it

she didnt even fall off once as it was total glass

as we drove back up to the house 200m away

she reminded me that i fell off 100 times on my first go and that she had stayed dry ...lol....

my 4 yr old son is cruzing in a straight line in the shallows by himself now but cant turn around yet

bought a second hand laguna bay longboards sup that was advertised in the buy and sell on the weekend

thanks steve

nice board and great to suss out the difference in feel between a poly and epoxy construction comparing it to my other naish boards

ended up smashing a hole in the rail of the new board after about 20 minutes

combination of board becoming one with the lip of a 4 foot section then contacting paddle and helmet hard ouch!!!!!the poly boards are heavier!!!!

quickly paddled in and now fixing board

cant wait to have another go

cant recommend the stack hat enough

Great news Dogman about your wife lovin it! So nice to hear. At the demo day on the weekend it was pretty much a fight between most couples with swapping over boards and the girls wanting their fair share on the boards and time on the water.
Some even getting their 5 yr olds on the front! The stoke from girls getting on the boards was nice to see.
Make sure she keeps at it.

its all in how you word things brooko

make them think that they thought of it first then dont givem time to think about what the hell they just said

thats how one board became two

then on the weekend became three

Onya dogman, I'm working on it with my wife and children, I won't push it on them during winter - I just make suggestions. Anyway, now Lisa is at the point of going on longish walks with me while I paddle. But I'm definitely going to put the hard word on her in Summer and I know she will be hooked. BTW occasionally I force my dog and kids to come out with me in winter, only when I can see that all they are doing is using my bandwidth. I just take the dog cause I can. Everyone enjoys the experience of being taken out of their comfort zone if they don't get hurt.

He who dies with the best life experiences wins. Toys are just objects.
