a few opitons:

cut board in half and fit a piano hinge

bust rear windscreen

soft racks

attach leash to car and drag behind

oxy sunroof in and have board sticking out

wood screw to roof easy on and off

place across windscreen, windscreen whipers should hold in place...

Dan just tie it deck first to the roof with straps (assuming up have deck grip and not wax) the doors still shut fine , done it to heaps of cars. No worries

wrap racks are good if you limit your speed. $60-70, cheaper than a 4WD. Balin, Creatures both have em....

I'd think it would fit in a Corolla with the nose on the dash but to be safe get some soft racks. I've tried DaKine but the Handiracks are way better IMO

Wish I had the photo but we had two 14' boards and an 18' board stacked up on these racks on Maui on a honking windy day on a rental car - no worries! We did tie the front of the 18 to the bumper to the car. Most of the time just the two 14's absolutely not a problem.

Agree with Piros - straps only works fine, just use a towel or a swimming pool noodle cut in half if you have wax.

I recon it will fit, lay down the front passenger seat and put the nose into the foot well. You are on your own?

yeah logman im on me own thats the way i thought id might fit? I thought someone out there in webland might own a carolla or hired one and put it inside the car was worth a shot.

JohnathanC thats classic 14footers on soft racks that would be a funny sight was you max speed 14km an hour?

Be careful.. I've seen so many windscreens cracked from people thinking..'beauty.. it just fits'.. and they hit the brakes or a bump in the road and CRACK!

Also the heat inside a windless car on a hot day with sun coming through the window like a magnifying glass will delame any board in no time.

A pocket rocket 8.5 will fit in a hyundai getz, as will an 8.5 starboard pro and an 8.6 Laguna Bay if that helps at all.
