well, what can i say,the sickest board i've been on. been surfing a lot the last 2 days and angie gave the board to try this afternoon. surfed the leftover swell with a onshore bump at the alley.i fell of heaps, mostly when just waiting for waves(i also fell of my 8'8 a bit today too), but i did that with the 8'10 until i put some bigger side fins in. at 77k's or so the float is fine, but at 8'4x27.5" it's a bit tricky. the board has a bit weight, but in this case i think it is a good thing, the board sticks to your feet when paddling back out over whitewater and well it paddles like a 8'4.thats not a issue for me with sub 9' boards. now the really good bit, it's surfs insane- hacks, cutties, reo's and anything else you wont to do, this board does with class and real good drive.again the bit of weight is a good thing, drives the board in the turns, but still releases nicely. it sits beautifully in the pocket, it just likes being there- i would say barrel city on this one. i'm going to hog it for tomorrow morning with some bigger side fins and then sadly give it back to the boss- angie. if you are a ex- shortboarder you are going to love this. i can only imagine what the 8' is like
cheers

8'5, mine says 8'4. lol. I have to agree, it is the best performance board i have riden. and for me at 88kg it floats my fat arse. this board has so much go and being narrow, it surfs on a rail.

sorry, don't know were i got 8'5 from.yeah, you can really give it to this board and it loves it. i'm actually have a serious rethink about this lite board business, sure when it's gutless it's good, but in half decent waves, i'm starting to think it's not so good
cheers
ps mac, i still think you still need a wee bit more power then this and my 8'8 can give
pps. i've fixed it

Great lacey, glad you had a good session. Drove passed alley after closing shop and you were still out, i thought you would love to keep it for a morning session.

Enjoy!
