On the bright side:

Noel owes me beer
Qld won
NSW Lost

On the negative side:

My teams best player is out for the season. That pretty much means my team is screwed this year.

P.S. Jarrod Hayne should be a soccer player with dives and selling penalties like that.

I also enjoyed watching that bald ranga from Manly getting smashed..........

I hate it when NSW says they have had " the best preparation leading up to this origin". Then get flogged. Imagine if they hadbtheir worst. No excuses here.

I hate it when Ricky Stuart says Pearce is the best half in the game even though he has to run out on the field against Lockyer and Thurston which makes him clearly 3rd on that field, that is unless you add another Queenslander or 2 that didn't get a run in Origin in front of him.

Going to the game so hoping the planets align and the Suns win, will be a major upset but fingers crossed!

As parochial as I am about NSW, good on em I say, the better team won on the night despite a couple of weird ref calls early on.

Plus after all the tragedy up there with the floods, if it makes people happy well it's all good.

HAHAHAHA state of origin, I think its great that people want to play and watch but whats funny is some of these guys playing for both sides at times arn't even born in that state, they played there first games of league in the opposite state and then I had someone explain to me that you get selected on where you play your first professional game of league. Just to wrap up the rambling I love it when Victorians jump on the band wagon and bag the **** out of the losing team claim there new state of origin. Its all to funny. I say bring back the biff, when it wasn't a one sided match and the guys punced on cause they were truely passionate about there side and the ref's stood back and let it go for a while.

Sorry ,stats from before State of Origin , in the 60s' and 70s' when the poker machine income collected all the best players to the Sydney Comp.

Refer Lawie Kavanaugh, courier mail 1979 - so uninviting had the interstate series become for the Sydney public that the final was held at Leichhart Oval infront of 1000 people.

Thanks to Senator Ron Mcauliffe for bringing our boys home in 1980

If your talking about me Adapt I've been supporting the Maroons since 1979, hardly what you'd call jumping on the band wagon. If not then pardon my paranoia. And yes I used to love the passion of the biffo, hence my remark about Les Boyd 1984 (NSW- Nyngan boy originally) who broke his Australian squad teamates jaw in a tackle ( Daryl Brohman) ending his possible international career. Hahahahaha. I love it when people make uninfomed assumptions and set themselves up as omniscient moderators of what is politically correct in regards to essentially unimportant humourous comments. Cheers

Haven't read any of your insightful musings on the incredibly critical issues we deal with on this forum for a while. Keep em coming doc. Sorry, got to go, its the Whitehouse. It wasn't aimed at you Leroy13 and yeah you must be a bit paranoid. I was relating it to people I know personally. I grew up for the first quarter of my so far small life living in Sydney where your state of origin was where you were born, not where you played your first pro game (at least i thought) and I'm sure a lot of Queenslanders would have the same mind set. I know lots of people who are turn coats, my apologies if I've upset any vico's I was just using it as an example. Bad call on my behalf by the looks of it.

I just hope it turns into more of a competition rather then a one sided game for the sport and the peoples sake. And the biff that just adds to the entertainment value. Where's that mongrel
