Been away for a while and am back now. Whilst absent I have been following both the Longboard and SUP forums. I am a long term fanatic of both disciplines.
To answer Gizzies question, yep the SUP forum can be a bit boring, but isn't that a matter of opinion. If the post is boring "don't Farken read it". You will get a lot of advice, equipment details, pointers and reviews on this forum. This input could and can be boring.
SUP is a relatively new activity so the progression of design and innovation is going to be quite rapid. Therefore more info in a short time frame.
Longboarding on the other hand is the ORIGINAL surf based pastime. It has been discussed, refined, dissected and reviewed more times than I have taken a crap. I am 62 so I have had a lot of craps too.
I will state that there seems to be more fun or lighthearted posting on the LB forum, but this could just be because of the people involved. I have met a couple of these guys and they are easygoing fellas.
so to stop rambling I suggest:-
1. Maybe SUP could have a bit more fun or loose posts. This however is up to the members. Where are you Leroy?
2. Don't always be serious or take every post seriously. I have been taken too seriously in the past when I thought I was being funny.
3. Be more accepting of different views. If you want detail ask for it. I do know of a few members who are inactive because they were derided for their comments. This is a Farken forum after all.
4. Get out and have fun. Report about the fun if you want too.
5. There is an Hawaiian expression that I am trying to put into my daily life "Hang Loose". I don't mean going commando by that expression.
Last but not least -
DON'T LEAVE YOUR FARKEN PADDLE IN THE CARPARK YOU DOPEY PRICKS
Thats all I have to say about that.
