go for it, I was more than a few inches over, they didn't even check.
I made a hacksaw shiv just in case they weren't gonna let it on, first I was gonna menace the check in chick, then if she called my bluff I was gonna cut a few inches off the nose and fix it when I got there....
luckly the dude at the xray believed my story and thought it funny when i forgot to dispose of hacksaw shiv before going through customs
Make sure that jetstar don't load the baggage into pallets in the cargo area. If they do you are stuck for size. I did check a while ago and that was the case so no SUP for me. If you can and its not too late Air Asia or Virgin Have no problems taking SUP's. Either that or borrow the Dr's two piece board
Qantas have a maximum length allowed of 2.92 metres. If luggage exceeds this you have to arrange freight. Just make sure you are sitting down when they give you the freight prices. I'm sure Jetstar would'nt be too genorous as they don't even give you a free lunch these days.
Taken a 9.3 and upped it next time 9.6 and they gave me grief but board arrived both ends.
Have not and will not travel with J in years, always the V
yeah all i can say is 'don't do it'
once was once too many for me.
Totally agree. Flew with them last Friday from Bali to Melbourne. What was ment to be 11.50 takeoff direct to Melb, turned into 2.30am takeoff to melb via darwin with stopover. Full 16 hour mission to get home. Never again!
