Took it out at supjam comp on weekend think I found it's size limit solid 4 to 6ft started to get a little squirrely on the big ones might just need to get some bigger fins though time to try some c drives
I've only had mine in up to 4 feet n love it!, just have to get a bit better at paddling onto waves!, taking a bit of adjusting for me after coming down from a 10'5!, the board is electric on the wave though, I love the looseness!.., got a week down at caloundra next month so hoping for some size to really test!
Loz79 said.. Great vid!, the 8'2 widebody is a cracking board!
Would this board be good for a 105kg 6'2 beginner with a nice beach break nearby, or too small? I see theres an 8'6 coming some time.
I'd say probably a bit small for you as a beginner. I'd be asking guys around your size though n see what they think. I started on a much bigger board n have come down and the 8'2 took me a bit of getting used to in the chop.. I'm 5'9 n 70 kg... Happy supping!
I think the 8'6 is the surf model not the widebody. Surf model is only 28" wide will he way too tippy. The 8'8 widebody might be a better choice if you are good on a shortboard will still be very loose on a wave. Otherwise look into naish mana or nalu for a more stable ride .
