just bought a shaka pu'u and tested it yesterday. amazing. i wish i had one years ago. i'm catching waves so much easier now. the price was nice too, $350 in hawaii.

what paddle is better for what? on the hunt for a newbie but can someone shed some light on either quikblade or kialoa???? I mainly surf but is one brand better for racing and one for surfing??

I use a Quickblade (Elite 100 and Kanaha 90) for racing/downwinders because of their power and comfort over long distances.

I use a Kialoa (Methane and Pipes) for surfing because of their lightness, agility and responsiveness while catching and riding waves.
