just wanted to give everyone the heads up on this; don't take your lady friend or whatever friend you may have out on a foam board the first time you wanna teach them to surf. take them out on a sup. took my lady friend out today for the first time and had immediate success. the width (29") was easily stable enough for her to keep balance while trying to stand up and the volume made an unreal difference. she was able to stand up on her first wave! we even went tandem on her third wave! biggest smile on her face. she had been on a foam board while holidaying in hawaii a few years back, but had very little success.

if you do give it a shot, make sure you're well out of the way of anyone else and only in white water.

I saw a surfer at my local beach last week surfing a Naish Mana. My mate paddled over for a chat and the guy said he loves surfing the mana more than the 5 longboards in his garage
