Obligatory posts for my new ride - Corbean pure 9' Fusion and a kialoa methane paddle - can't wait to give em a workout.

Can't help thinking that this package cost as much as cars I used to own. Maybe time to update my car to an M5?

My first car was a ford capri - what a piece of crap that car was, I think it cost me $2K, my second car was a mistake I bought a ford cortina, years later I bought a ford falcon. I've got no idea why I was so loyal to fords for so many years - they were such poorly designed cars.

Looks good mate...Is the red edge on the paddle a protective or plastic edge to protect your board??

I don't know - I just remember reading an old DJ post somewhere, and as I had some red tape - I thought I'd just do it to look professional. I remember pin striping my old capri also - it all came off when I stacked it into a tree.

And log, I'm staying in Lorne this w/e - I was hoping that there may be a nice wave there Sunday/Monday as it's a bit protected from those dreaded southerly's and there is a chance of good weather.

Last time I was there, a couple of weeks back, I saw this sandbar or reef halfway between the beach and the pier that a nice big fat wave was crumbling on at low tide - I hope that will be there this time - i want to try and ride it.

Oliver, They're pretty fast on that sand bar, and I got a total beating the last time. But you've got the whole thing covered at lorne. If it's sou/east Lorne point, sou/west low tide try Kennett point, northerly, the beachies at spout creek or old reliable at PRK
