hey guys, getting my first sup shortly it is a walden 10' 10', it has been donkeys years since i have been out in the surf 16 years to be exact and it was on body boards. do u guys have any hints or tips, would be much appreciated and is there any sup riders down here in tassie

I'd start on flat water until you are comfortable with turning the beast and just getting used to how the board handles before hitting the waves. When you do hit the waves take it slowly, avoid surfing too close to others and start off on smaller waves. I think you will find you will pick it up pretty quick, but you want to avoid falling off randomly and injuring yourself or others in the early days.

Acrobats etc state that your centre of gravity, balance point is between your shoulder blades. Keep your back straight and bend your knees. Watch the horizon. plus what Oliver said.
