sorry man i call it as i see it, thats some weird ass looking board, what those mad hollow lines about in the middle of the board ? anyway if your into it good stuff ! dont think it would cut it in the surf, even small surf

the rib running up to the nose was to have a rope sit in. On the nose of the board is a plug to tie the rope to, and the idea was that the rope then ran back to the mast to keep everything together if the rig and the board became sepreated. Very old school.

The old Tyronsea does look odd as a SUP, but hey a great way to get into it without spending a great deal of $$$.

Hey pirrad...great stuff and looking good.( great pics)...I reckon good on you...I like the Naish yellow color..

These old boards are perfect for getting started on..Don't expect too much performance in the waves tho..

Anyone else out there that either can't afford to buy a new SUP or don't know what to buy..Just get an old windsurfer and do what pirrad did.

This is my friend Nic having his first go at SUP on my old plastic windsurfer..It's perfect for learning.

It's the same board that I paddled on for about a year before buying something better...I had a ball on that old board..

Great way to try the sport out before spending thousands. For paddling flat water, probally not much slower than a typical arounder at 1/16 of the price........
How many people must buy big 11'6"ers etc then want to buy something smaller to ride waves about 6 months later......
