Hi All
Need some help on what to look at with getting a sup.
I want to get something that is suitable for port phillip bay no wind mornings around frankston. (flat water)
What size/profiles do you recomend that I look at. Im between 95-100kg depending on the day and have been windsurfing since the late 80's so have some balance on a board.
Im not interested in sailing a sup, i just need something that can get me out when there is no wind and have some fun with.
Started looking online at stuff and had no idea the range of boards that are available so now im a bit overwelmed.
If only it blew 20-25knts everyday id be right

Give Jeff and Linda at PSUP (Rosebud) a call, or Phil at Trigger Bros at Point Leo, both will demo boards and give great advice.
My 10 6 Surf Tech Balboa is a great allrounder, but there are plenty of other options.
Cheers

Think about a DC 14' x 29" Coco Mat. Good allround board for the more generously proportioned gentleman (like me) but the bottom is a bit fragile. Maybe also look at a 14' x 28" Starboard AllStar. Both good in flat water and very good in Port Philip chop...

Hi,
i am new to the sport as well. As much as I like the boards from Naish, Starboard etc, it was just to big an investment for me. I ended up getting a Sunny King 14 foot Ocean Pro http://supwarehouse.com.au/paddleboards/ocean-racer/14-ocean-pro-series/
all up, with a very nice Carbon paddle, board cover, dry wallet, and leg rope it was $1500, shipped to my door.
the board is light and beautifully made, I am very pleased with it and highly recommend SK.

Thanks for the info people.
The naish stuff looks really nice. I probably dont want to know the price.
Ill get down to PSUP and see what they have to say and see what they let me play with.
