G’day all those who replied to my Elite qb Dimple Dipper Racing Blade inquiry.
I ended up speaking with Jim Terrell personally but it cost me a ½ hour international mobile call. I could have spoken with Jim for hours about Paddle Blades + the Good, the Bad & the Ugly Dimple Dipper. Had a very good indepth conversation with him. & it sounds like Jim’s going to be sending me a 90’’inch Elite Racer with the big 10’’inch normal qb head with a soft hand to Mark Raaphorst factory by next week on Maui just in time for the Molokai Race. One word (STOKED)
Jim said there is only 4 blokes he knows of that enjoy the BIG 10’’inch HEAD, that’s myself, Dave Kalama & 2 other blokes.
I’m really looking forward to having a beer with Jim Terrell when our paths cross in the near future.
Here’s a list of the guys I’ll be racing against in the Molokai Race

SOLO SUP UL Male 40-49
Scott Gamble
Phil Gregory
Dave Kalama
Fernando Labad
Doug Lock
Guy Pere
Zane Schweitzer
Jared Vargas

G'day Laceys Lane
Mark Raaphorst is making me a new one 17.6 custom F16 its just easier to pick one up there on Maui (convenient) & then ship it home when your finished. So it looks like I'll be selling one of my custom F16 for around 4 1/2 grand!
I beleive Chris Maynard will be selling the F16 in Australia Chris is from Tugun & a weapon of a OC1 paddler

Best of luck Phil, am sure you will do the Aus pensioner paddling brigade proud.

Mark re the f16s - At the Roar comp I spoke to Peter & Kris who are currently bringing in the SIC x14 and x12. They reckon that Chris M is bringing in the previous F16 model (which by all reports are great boards). Anyone who wants the new F16 model that just landed back on Maui would have to wait until Peter & Kris bring them in to Aus, which might not be until end of year or early next. Me I'm still stoked on a DC16, board fine it's the engine that needs an overhaul.

Yep, me too. I won't need an upgrade until I know that I have done everything possible to go as fast as I can myself. If my board is then the problem I will find the money.

Unfortunately, the best paddlers are also the guys training the hardest. No easy solutions.
