If they were real surfers they'd already be running 2 + 1 setups and riding big boards how they were supposed to be ridden

There will be no swell, way too south. You'll have to head south of Byron if you want any of it in great quantities.

Looks like it will be huge down south.

I reckon maybe 4 foot once it wraps around the cape, it's got a lot of bending to get in here.

yeah, i heard another rumor of 4 ft down south today, but it was the smallest i've seen for months on the goldie. all in all it been a good season- consistant swell, waves eveyday.

if and if the wind bends a bit more south we might get some dw action

Was 5-8 metres at 10 sec here yesterday (Wed) - dead south swell combined with 30 - 35 knot southerlies - would have been insane for a DWer.

Backed off a bit this morning but supposed to thump in tomorrow. Big enough for a certain ledging Right hander that have only SUP ed once, hopefully

Check out the forecast for the next 4 days (the wave heights are the 'Iggy' scale not faces):

"Short Forecast

Thursday
Primary SSE and secondary ESE swell 6 – 8ft+ south facing coasts increasing to 8 – 10ft+ exposed coasts during the late afternoon/ evening. WIND: S 25 to 35 knots easing to 20 to 30 knots during the morning.

Friday
E/SE swell 8 – 12ft (1.8 – 3.8m) exposed beaches. WIND: S 20 to 30 knots across Sydney, tending SSE across the South Coast.

Saturday
ESE swell 8 – 10ft (1.2 – 1.7m) exposed beaches, easing to 6 – 8ft into the afternoon. WIND: SSW 15 to 25 knots easing and tending S during the day.

Sunday
ESE swell 4 – 6ft+ (1.2 – 1.9m) exposed beaches early, easing during the day. WIND: S tending SSE 10 to 20 knots."

Hey Goatman I was watching the Manly ferry on the news you guys ever downwind in the harbour in those conditions???
I spent a few years on the North Shore in the mid 90's but have never seen anyone surf the Queeny bomie when its going off.
I always thought it would be a good sup wave would that be right???

Hey Squeeky, yeah guys surf the Queensie Bombie a fair bit - even a few SUPs. Haven't had a go myself, never seem to time it or there is somewhere else.

Some guys DW the harbour and Botany Bay but usually cause the wind is the wrong direction for the ocean. Yesterday would have been all time for an ocean DW I would have thought as southerly is our best wind plus the swell was dead south and huge - shame about work

Scott and I surfed this morning and in the space of 2 hours the sets jumped from bairly knee high to consistent shoulder high. Beautiful conditions - shame if it gets too big, but think it just might. Tempted to grab a mal and head for my secret southern spot

Yep might have under called the prediction, maybe as a south swell it will have enough push to get to us as well. My usual modelling site still looks pretty south.

No doubt much bigger down south.
