At the moment i am SUPing on a windsurfer one design[old wally],enjoying it immensely. Some research revealed they are one of the better old windsurfers for SUPing, and it comes in handy occasionally to sail in light winds and over the tidal flats when there isn't enough water for the modern windsurfer long fins .Done a few 3-4k sessions with the longest one being over 6 kms in a leisurely 1.5 hrs.On the short list of things to do is about an 8km down winder with a light northerly behind me from my main local windsurf spot Werrona Island[not really an island unless its a king tide and the causeway floods].While im in no rush to upgrade there is a number of options as far as sailable SUP's go,the first i'll probably get to try will be champcrows naish.I'm also considering the option of several modern windsurfer boards that have a reputation of reasonable SUP's,the Kona and Bic Jungle are two that i am keen to try.I intend to put up a post on the SA.windsurf site to see if anyone locally owns either of these boards that i may be able to try.Is there anyone out there that has SUPed and sailed either of these boards that can share there views with me ?Getting to demo different gear in SA and three hours from the city is a bit of a bummer, your input greatly appreciated. Reg Steve.

Start saving for a Naish 14.. .. Some of the guys sailed them in the Breakwater to Beacon windsurfing race and they went so well.

I can highly recommend the JP 10'8"
My mate is stoked with his 9'3"
I have tried this board with a rig in both flat and small wave conditions with a 4.5 Zone.
It tracks up wind surprisingly well for a thruster
I think that having Werner Gingler (JP Windsurf board shaper) design these has helped their windsurfing ability.
Jason seems to think so!
