Some real nice waves at the Alley this morning before the wind come upWhat struck me though is how well the line up was working with stand ups and long boarders and short boarders. The wide banks where working so that may have had something to do with it , but seems like the joint has worked out some sort of orderThat's until those guys with the jet boards catch the waves I usually get

A few smiling faces out there throughout today as well. Considering its almost officially winter it was great to lap up some sunshine and few waves still in a pair of boardies.

meh I must be the bad egg of the day. Got 2 verbals from 2 different short boards (seperate incidents). First short boarder was inside me, wave comes with peak at me or just to outside, he paddles outside me and we both go for wave. I didnt make it as he was in my line, came up to here him say " why the **** would you do that???" I was a little confused lol

2nd was me in water after coming off a wave and trying to get my board via the leg rope, SB takes next wave and im unfortunately in his way. Mind you he took off 20m inside me and could well have avoided me earlier, I was on the bank getting smashed, as he comes along the wave to me he yells to get out of the way, (like I could floating like a turd against the sweep and waves) and continues to abuse me as he goes past. He was a very good surfer and had been getting plenty of waves????

both of these on the wide bank past the groyne.

Add to the list being run over by a learner SUP trying to paddle for a wave and somewhere in the day taking a chunk out of the back of a new fin.

Waves were good and even at the later start of 10am the wind was still ok.

Thought the big girl was gonna end up on the rocks for sure but I was lucky enough use my get out of jail free card. The next one made it worth the gamble. Good mid-morning session on the map as well. Hopefully more to come today.

I got a couple of good waves with Herb and a good party wave with Kelly and Bear.
I seen a stand up guy down past the groyne with his paddle in his hand floundering in the water after his legy had obviously snapped and was about to go over to help but heard another surfer say are you ok and he said yes so I paddled back out. After getting another wave I seen someone helping the same guy out so I paddled over and got his board and pushed it over to them. When the guy who helped him paddled back out he told me that the guy was struggling to stay afloat and told him that he couldn't swim so he told him to go and get some swimming lessons and a good legy. After calling it a day I'm paddling back in and see the same guy on paddling back out!!! Go figure.
