Yeah, how good was it? Big, clean and (mostly) makeable. Spectacular stuff. Not my cup of tea though.

Great vid thanks...Love the closeout at about 7.40..ouch!

I was talking to Ross's old tow-mate (Tony) not long ago and checking out some tow boards.. geeez.. If I was young again that's what I'd love to do.

If you like this vid check out Ross's dvd called 'The 6th Element'.. and Lairds 'All aboard the crazy train' is even better.

I wonder if Ross is into SUP's now..I know Tom is.

I remember Jason Polakow telling me about the tow surfing that he was doing with the strapped crew way back before they even used jetski's.

btw.. I just found out the other day that JP is right into SUP now so maybe we'll see JP stand ups soon.

Hey DJ when you talk to Scotty next ask him about the Evil Twin.
Oh and when Robby rings you up can you let him know that you only paddle flat water.
And btw when you have dinner with Tom ask him to try the salad.

I was expecting that from you Greenie..Thanks for not letting me down..

Is this Scotty's evil twin?..

BTW.. Those coming to the Mambo this is the event runner..John Smyth (next to the real scotty Mc)..This is from the Mambo a few years ago.

Also re the Mambo... I hope it's warm enough to not need wet suits..

Also re the Mambo..

I hope my old mate Dave comes back..I spent some time talking with Dave Kalama at the Mambo a fews ago also..

Shame we didn't have digital camera's back then..

Getting back on topic I wonder if we'll start seeing jetski's setting up SUP's for big waves and rescuing them if they get caught inside..Like this.

Hehe, DavidJohn, you dropped too many names back there, should go back and pick some up for next time

About towing-in, apparently (DJ's best mate) Jason Polakow used a jetski to
tow-windsurf Teauphoo a short while back

Quote from Dave Kalama at the Mambo a few years ago...

"What a great event. I really enjoyed it. But the one thing that spoilt it for me was this bloke who kept following me around like he was my groupie or something. He gave me the sh!ts. Always in my ear like a little chihuahua. So i finally gave in a said ""Right! You got 2 minutes to ask me anything. When the times up thats it. P!ss off! Who are you anyway? What did you say your name was? Dean? DJ? What kinda name is that anyway? Shouldnt you be at a disco or something? Phew is he gone?""

Ha.. ..Yeah..Maybe I should hold back with dropping names because I don't mean to sound big headed.

Each year I hope that my mate Jason will come back to the Mambo..

Both him and his mom Wendy and dad Nick were regular Mambo'ites.

Jason bought a car just like mine because he loved mine so much (and regretted it after) and I still ride one of Jasons old boards that I bought off him.

I'm doing it again aren't I.. .. ..btw..Just because I knew these guys once doesn't make me anything special.. It's just interesting (maybe only to me)

DJ (David)

Nah, your right if you knew them, just rattling off all the pro's names isn't for the modest

Maybe you can impart some past knowledge to us your ones.

Stories are good, less names too

Wonder why Greenroom dropped my name in the Mambo rant?

Whats the biggest SUP-ridden wave?
