Hey guy's, I,am new to the forum! just taking a lead on what the vico guy's are doing with state titles. Is anyone keen in S.A. for a similar event with surfingSA in conjuction with the longboards in april or stand alone if the numbers are there? Howdy, Could be a few of us keen except don't see the point of joining up with surfingsa or the longboarders. Totall different sport and crowd. Regards, Scott
Howdy scotty, point taken! But I don't think it's a totally differant crowd we all enjoy the water for the right reasons.With surfingSA just attaching to a group that has got the infastructure & capability to host a event. Any other ideas of who could?would be greatly appreciated. cheer's mags
I know what you mean but it would put people off if they had to join an association for a one off event. I am certaintly not that keen to join a the associated myself to be honest.

Hey guys, cheer,s crowchamp what we are trying to do in flag the idea too see if we can get some numbers? before any time frame is set! Just got back from KANGEROO island had 2 surfs on a hollow clean 2-3ft beachies, it was great to see how well the 9'6"wide went once I worked out the best fin set up for me! cheer's mags
The good thing about joining SurfingSA or SurfingVIC is you have insurance. If you hit someone, or gash a hole in yourself, rip an eye out or any long term injury you will be covered if you are a member.
I guess you don't need insurance until something happens though.
If you have private health cover you might not need bother unless you hit someone else and injure them.
