Agree about Peyo, the guy surfs with power and style! Definitely one of the best (again) at Sunset this year.

@teatree....I agree some of the surfing was not (yet) what we want to see from the worlds best. Sunset is very difficult wave to surf well on any board and twice as hard when its big and windy. The wave also requires lots of time getting all its moods wired. However, having said that, I think this event also showed that sup board design still needs significant improvement. I saw some normally great surfers look slow and flat throughout many heats. Dont get me wrong, progress is being made and overall the surfing was definitely better than last years event. But it can and will get a lot better in the very near future.

Have to agree Peyo is a power house , love his style and have to agree with Bill , board design still needs to improve.Another interesting point in that video the lighter you were the more you bounced around , so there might be hope for us bigger units

Interesting thing I read on the zone is that Kai was on the 8 foot Naish. A lot of the guys looked like they were on big wide, flat rockered things so no wonder the kid was smashing it - apart from the fact he is a great surfer.

I would still like to see a few Aussies in the mix
