New to the forum so just like to say g'day to everyone.
Am looking @ heading to lennox the week after easter with the wife and kids, just wondering what the vibe is like for the sups down there.

Cheers.

I surfed my SUP at Lennox and at Boulders with heaps of crew, lots of groms ripping and I didn't get any stink eye or abuse.
I did sit wide for the most of it and picked off the bigger ones (and better) that broke wider as all the surfers tended to
push themselves deep.

Then I found as I crept in a little everyone else went even deeper and when the bombs came I was the only one who
could make position and get the waves. Although a bit cheeky it worked well.

If it's over 3ft to 4ft be careful getting in and out.

I'd love to get out Lennox and pick off a few on a good sized day. As above, if you "can surf",took it easy and had a bit of respect it couldn't be that much a problem? The biggest drama is probably jumping off the rocks on a small day especially on a fuller tide when the waves are breaking close? On this senario, it might be easier to paddle out from the beach. Given the beach often has good waves and the point gets stupidly crowded, you might even end up hanging in the beach break.

Don't forget too that Byron is only 20 mins up the road. You will not be alone out The Pass or Wategoes!

Hi Benny
Great place for a week with the family -I'm lucky enough to do it all year !
Noel will point you in the right direction, but the area around the 'boat channel' up to the front of the pub is generally quite SUP friendly -as long as you mind your manners.Waves are good, can usually find a peak on your own or with some of the local SUP crew.
The point is pretty much a no go zone for good reason -you will be asking for trouble there. In my opinion Boulders is pretty much the same.
Have a great week -I'll be holidaying at Noosa!!

(Ok, this is a shameless ad. If you saw this house you would start dreaming!
)
After you visit you might be looking to buy a slice of Lennox Head paradise.

My mate's latest home renovation is up for sale.

You are one of the first to know... the marketing is just beginning & the first open home is this Saturday.

Feel free to come along & check out his handy work

He has fully renovated all 3 levels including the garage/basement, which has lots of room for a quiver of SUPs.

It's up for auction in an average market so who knows? Another top address is the other property he has for sale at Suffork Park, perfectly situated off Broken Head between Lennox and Byron. It is on a few acres of tea tree and rain forest believe it or not straight across the road from the pub! I have fond memories of sitting back at the old Norco pumphouse on the property with a cold Coopers after all-day sessions in North Coast point perfection.

Thanks heaps for the replies and advice guys. We're all booked in now so I'm keen as!

Surfing the beachies is sweet with me cause thats what I usually surf anyways.

Will say g'day if I run into any of the local sup crew.

Cheers.
