'it's fun again' .starting coming back together. i believe my shortboarding will be a lot better after sup ing full time for nearly 2 years now

i'm fitter and reading the ocean better, using the bumps and backsides of swells to get where i want to be.

funny, i look for any excuse to take the dw 12'6 surfing. figure that out

the old is new again - shortboards and big ass sups. it's a good combo i reckon

anyone else changing their habits
cheers

ps still do the 8'6
pps. lets forget all this stuff about the pro's and con's of everything and lets just go surfing

Lacey the above is about the best thing I have read in this forum, very refreshing.
Yes we met many shortboarding years ago,I took the mal road and you stayed fit ( you pr-ck ) and here we are again on stand ups. 20+ years later, the best thing is we are still surfing and have never lost the search that SURFING gives us ALL

Just like that night at the playroom,I was with your gang that night,I recall asking who the hell is that bald nutter on stage, met with stink eyes from your mates, its The Oil's,turned into one of my fav' all time bands, gee life was simple, surf, drink, pick up,sleep and do it all over again.

Jumped on Robs bike up to Nicks (Woodgie) to order a custom, the house with the view

today- paddle training 5.30 to 6.45, just cannot ever get past kelly and jamie, even if i edge forward a at the start. then off for 2 waves on the 12'6

8.00 am,late start for work, so a quick shortboard at a local beachie. some nice waves. the paddle out nearly kills me- the arms just don't want to work after the early morning effort, but it gets better.

go to work

5.00 pm, drive past the alley- lo oks messy, so i drive home and get the dw 12,6. sneak out close to the rocks. jacko's out on his new 7'2. he thinks he might be able to do snaps off the top with this one when i ask him. he looks happy. get some waves, interesting surfing down the line on a board like this.

get out, pack up and grab some dinner on the way home

not a bad day all in all
cheers
