Sydneys a big place, what part is the wedding or where are you staying?

Vibe is pretty good on the northern beaches as long as you display some common sense. Avoid North Narrabeen and anywhere with a large crew.

Southern end of Manly is pretty SUP friendly. Seems a lot more anti SUP on the Goldy from my limited experience.

PM me when you are here and I might be up for an early somewhere.

Didn't the topic say Sydney ?

Manly is not part of Sydney is it....that's why they call it the 'Insular Peninsular' and the northern boundary of 'Sydney' is The Spit Bridge.

Maybe I'm wrong but coming from 'The Shire' I've always assumed that's why they think they are better than everyone else in 'Sydney'.....take the League team for example, you love them or hate them, no middle ground.

So, next time, please start with 'Manly SUP' and not 'Sydney Metro' so as to not waste all the OTHER people's time on this topic.

Too true Chris, the rest of 'Sydney' is a scum hole, happy to think of us as 'separate' up here

PS, we also have the best League team

Manly is pretty sup friendly if your a friendly super. Also for less crowds, try Longreef or head up to Palm beach for even less crowds, but were generally quite civilised down south ; )

You are staying in a nice part of Sydney. Opposite North Steyne surf club (1/2 way along the Manly stretch) you will find The Dripping Wet surf shop. They hire out Sup's and there are 3 good cafes next door if you are looking for a well earned feed after that big paddle. My pick of the 3 is Ash's Place which has great coffee and good looking waitresses.
Pizza on Manly Wharf at Hugo's Pizza is top notch.
Enjoy your stay.
