Anyone who starts lumping subs in with Mals & Goatboats needs to pull there heads in, you just seen right there what type conditions a sub can be ridden in

It's not Chopes Brooko it's some break called Sapinus. My mate would ride that sh!t on his goatboat I reckon. We surfed big pipe on goaties as well. But would prefer to be on a SUP than a mal or a goatboat on those waves for sure!!

Off track and on the point of goaties in macking surf-N.Av was 5-6 with 8 foot (4X+ o/head) bombs yesterday and the only way out was to jump off the rock shelf-saw Ben John jump off with his ski-pretty impressive-considering surfers were getting continuously nailed on the jump off-including breaking boards and all kinds of injuries.

Ok so its not Chopes, but pretty much close enough and better than your average wave. Goatie hope you were not taking offence at that comment about goatboats I have a mate here who shreds on one way better than anyone else I have seen though he does rate you very highly and anyway I consider you a Sub charger now but whatever
You certainly wont see many if any mal riders or goatboaters in waves like those AND the point I was making was a sub can handle those type of conditions way better than the other 2.
I can ride a mal no fear (dont know about a boat have not tried one and not likely too)and I would much, much, rather be on a 10 ft and under sub than a mal in waves of consequence
