hi lsd, that fin on your beautiful 20 fter is driving me mad.i can't believe the board would be wandering around the place without it. take it off and if it doesn't work bill me to put it back on
cheers
Whats your problem with it?
Why is it driving you mad?
i haven't had a go on it-dam it,but i imagine it would be a handful to steer with paddle strokes.the sheer noseline and displacement hull its self would keep it straight enough wouldn't you say. i honestly think it's unneeded with all due respect to your self
cheers
psi admire your work as many other do
cheers
As I have previously said in the "DJ!! WRONG WAY" post, obviously the nose fin is not needed, But it adds to the paddling pleasure.....like your side fins.
Check the Anglesea river on Google Earth, it's as straight as a dogs hind leg......do you think I would tolerate an apendage that would hinder navigation of the narrow bends? The board is easily steered. Do you want details of the method?
The bow fins most noticable quality is in a stiff head wind, the board only draws 40 mm, its hardly displacement in practice, it skates sideways in wind. (we have windy wind here) With that length of nose the windage & leaverage produced easily turns the board when it is slightly abeam. The fin stops this.
