you know, the one you couldn't get a handle on or thought was a pig, then 2 or 3 wks later regret selling it. i all thought i should have kept my first board, a rh 11 footer as i would never part with the money to buy another one

I totally expect to regret selling my 12' Glide next Tuesday at the Port Phillip Cup as I watch a fleet of Glides disappearing over the horizon.

Slightly off topic but SUP related!

I'm thinking of selling my kite gear and buying another SUP but not sure if I'll regret that one or not.

I'll still have my windsurf gear for windy days but I haven't really given kiting enough of a go, but damn am I addicted to SUP now

My first magic 6'2 swallow. I had faith in computer reproduction so flogged it before its replacement arrived. The replacement was identical with a different stringer and did not go at all for me.

I had the same board made 7 times over the next 3 years and none of them went as good as the 1st. 3 to 7 were great though. 6 and 7 live with mates of mine who love them and I still get to see them on weekends sometimes.

Geez I love things that float on the ocean.

Timely topic for me. I'm thinking of selling either my jl 10' or starboard 11'2" to buy a 12'6", but I'm worried I'll regret it if I do sell one. I'm thinking the 11'2" might have to go.

i had twinnie by murry that i surfed to the death, but we just could not make another one the same after 3 goes, even with the file and the old board sitting right next to the new one being shaped, weird hey.

Not a SUP sorry. My 6'6" Ben Aipa stinger from the mid 70s. Third board I ever owned and I loved it. Finished up trading it for something else I don't remember. Had better boards performance wise since but there was something magic about that board, that time and the waves we seemed to get then. I wish I still had that baby in my rack now.

could be a bit, i ran into a guy at base who was trying to sell some fins or something, anyway he also had his son twinnie in there. looked kinda close to what we were trying, a narrower than normal thin tailed twinnie, ordered one and it was really good, but different for the murry version. absolutely smashed rainbow bay when it was on.loved vert, but strangely it wouldn't snap, but would carve the c### out of the wave and the fastest board i've been on. it was a kc twinnie. so in my mind it was an equal but different board

i once borrowed this little crappy looking thing around 5'3 off a mate

rode it once and thought it was cool then said i would patch up the dings if i could ride it once and a while

ended up riding it for a few months then the mate saw me riding it and asked for it back

2 weeks later i see his kids using it on top of a giant balancing ball and all the fins had been snapped out and nose broken offi cryed then and i am still cryin now

he said he rode it once and hated it so let the kids use it

this is it on the start of the flick

First Surfboard I ever owned. A Hot Buttered shaped by Terry Fitz. 5'10 Single fin, pin tail. Son of a bitch to learn on but sweet when the points were working. Don't even know what happened to it. The oldies probably sold it in a garage sale when I was away.
