the kids are going to take over bop racing- they are made for it, but are sup pers going to be ready for it? do sup pers want to see it happen?

wouldn't surprise me to see it become a surf lifesaving discipline some day in the future.

cheers

It was only a matter of time , when the prize money gets good and the profile rises , good athletes from other sports expecially paddling sports will cross over. lets say your an elite rower slugging it out , for little too no reward other than your olympic dream or a clubbie and you see a sport exploding with sponsorship and good prizemoney and you know you could possibly smash it , most will give it a go.Who knows sup racing may one day make it to the olympics. I think its only a matter of time untill the big boys get involved , billabong ect. I think its great , great sport , and great opportunities for growth. Imagine Ken Wallace on a sup.Seen the greatest athlete thing where he pumped out nearly 40 reps bench press at 75KGs i think it was , now thats some strength and power , he made the league boys look like wimps.

I thought they were already here. The only guy that's won a major race (Doctor) that isnt from a clubby background is Jacko. Or is he? I don't know what he done when he was young. He's just a phenomenal athlete though.....

Jamie, Travis, Kelly, Danny Ching, Billy all clubbies, lifeguards or both......
