I have been buying waves mag for years, but there not helping the perception of sup to impressionable young grommets when some KooK called Kirk Owers , has a pic of one of Aus surf legends, Luke Egan, doing a nice cutback with the caption "stand up paddle boards are completely lame" Haha, what a kook that Kirk guy is, does he really think he rips better than luke on any type of board. Luke would be able to pull the toilet door off and shred on it, better than this clown could on a normal board.

One more gay comment like this from a clown, and I wont be buying waves anymore

I stopped buying tracks years ago, the full page ads to usefull content ratio went off the planet, now it's more like a sales catalogue with some prosurfing worship mixed in, jeeeze even ads for man makeup wtf.

Yeah I know what your saying, but at least Tracks seems to be a bit sup friendly and even advertises them

I didn't think anyone bought surf mags anymore. I don't, I just check em out when I get Mexi for lunch in Torquay after a surf. They seem to update their collection regularly.

The best quesadilllas around!

totally, tracks is the worst offender, atleast the others have the excuse of being fluff from the beginning, tracks degenerated to fluff, beginning with the end(?) of the newspaper format. now its like a surfing cosmo or cleo.
every so often, like if i'm forced along to a shopping mall because i've been taken by surprise and can't think of an excuse to get out of it or all the exits are blocked and i cannot run away... i'll make whingy noises the whole time and be allowed to go wait at the newsagents whereupon i'll sit on the floor and read all the surf mags 'till i'm kicked out or 'its' finished her roaming. i'll always leave with a smile thinking i'm not missing out on anything and really how out of touch they are in corporate surf world, but mostly, how much of a flipping rip off surf magazines have become...
always makes me laugh, you get a 'free' dvd with a mag, but the cover price goes up two bucks compared to when the same mag has no 'free' dvd atttached..
