Leave in NZ sun for 10 minutes, then apply juice from garden lemons, then microfibre cloth with elbow grease should probably get you 99 % of the way there :-)

The pickle works very well. You can use it in combination with a citrus-based wax remover liquid (most surf shops sell some) or an automotive paint surface cleaner (the stuff that car bodywork specialists to prepare a surface before painting) that comes in a spray can. Use the pickle first and then give a final once over with the fluids and a clean soft cloth until the surface is squeaky clean when you run a finger over it.

Diggers wax and grease remover works good too. I only run wax and use this when stripping old wax right off to do a new application
