Had a sweet dawny this morning - was going to surf my resin8 luke egan 6'2" until I noticed there was no dawny crew out this wednesday :-O ..... Woohoo! So instead, I grabbed my 9'2"aa & did the rock walk out to whaley ( my first paddlesurf on the points in like 3 months 'cos it's been too crowded to bother when there's plenty of other uncrowded waves available to the intrepid paddler! ). The tide was still way out & there was a rising 3ft swell surging in - ramped up by the big full moon tides... Had some fun waves with only 2 locals & some cute girls from Texas in 'kinis .

The only down-side to the session was stepping on a kina/urchin (wana?) at the start - so as i type i have my foot in a bucket of HOT water & am gonna try the duct tape method of extraction that i learned of on seabreeze from AA's little hawaiian adventure! It's nowhere near as bad as what Andrew had. I managed to pull one spike out half way through the session & I think i only have a couple more spikes in there.
