Wooden SUPS are a great idea...due to the differnet properties of wood vs foam you actually get alot more bouancy than you would with a foam board...they can weigh a bit more but you can get a better plan shape and rail shape due to thinning them out....sometimes they come out a bit heavy depending on the glas/wodd combo but hey SUP's are pretty heavy anyway so a 10-15% isn't going to make much difference......there a couple getting around melbourne

Oh yeh ! i want ot get into this SUP ing ! i am 86 KG an di will be using it in mainly flat water and sometimes in waist high waves maybe a little bigger ...basically if i cant ride my 6'6" so i guess anything under shoulder high.
Im looking at the LAird 11 ft tuflite
an 11 ft Starboard
or a 12 ft Starboard
Anyone like to hit me a helpfull decision !
