Hollow wood construction (combination of Grain surfboards and Paul Jensen) the 9'10" long 30 1/2" wide and at 34lbs it works great, but this was the first SUP so I think I will be able to get the weight down to under 30lbs on the next one. It's made out of 1/8" cedar skins from the drop box at the local mill and solid rails with laminated cork and bending ply. The shape I took from JBlair and it's super stabile and turns on a dime.

When you make your next one it would be great to see pictures of the whole process bit by bit.

Luv the boards. No matter how they perform just riding something you created that looks so special would be enough.Although I think you need to work on your paddle design. They look like shovels.

If you want to build one the crew at Freo School of Fine Furniture have a guru over from the states. He is presenting a intensive one week workshop for those who want to build one with expert guidance and access to pro tools.
Check the thread in the surfing forum for details.

Very nice...one of these days I'm going to make my way up to maine to go to a Grain class. I followed Andy Gere's build on Tree to Sea as well...another great board. I think he came in about the same weight.
