Hi all. I'm a Perth boy about to get his hands on his first surfboard (a 9'2 longboard)
I've never surfed before, am 30, and am looking for some tips on the best places in Perth to get started on a longboard. (I live up just past Joondalup)
Any tips, tricks or guidance is hugely appreciated.

At just 30 you shouldn't have any problems learning, I'm almost twice your age and I eventually manged to learn again.
The balance board I made was the best thing I ever did, for 2 solid weeks I was on it every night and it really got my brain back in contact with my feet.
I don't much bother with it anymore, but that's only because I'm a lazy sod.
