Hi, i am considering building a hollow wooden surfboard, probably about 9'6. What I want to know is, has anyone built/ridden one? If so, how do they ride? Also any info on plans and problems encountered would be great

Theres a topic on this in the General Forum. A good place to start is the Grain Surfboards forum that's all about wood boards and has a section on building, materials and tools

See Richard at Freo School of Fine Furniture, they just finished a week long course with a guru from the US and are planning to do regular weekend workshops/courses. They are having an informal meeting on Wed April 29th. His email is richard@freowood.com.au
