Anyone planning to attend and if so what divisions are you entering ? It'd be good to meet some breezers and put faces to names.
Bill.

Try this link and scroll through to find the event

And if anyone is also interested in entering the sup division - I have been informed that it will apparently be judged as per any standard longboard heat - finally sense prevails.

Hey mac - caught up with couple of the b/mal club in byron this morning and it seems that the 1st round of age divisions will be held on the friday and sup over the weekend but they should have a better idea of a schedule after a meeting this wednesday. Entries are pouring in so pay to get in early. We checked Wategos early today but tide too high so surfed 1ft clarkes only to find out from a mate who we passed on our way back to clarkes that wategos had turned to near perfect 15mins after we left - and of course clarkes dropped right off No biggy - had a bit of fun anyway.

Thanks Bill, that's my favourite neck of the woods and I swear I will retire down that way one day, I figure I'll be one of those grumpy old mal riders talking about back in my day sh-t
Do you know any of the judges,if so I need to make real good friends FAST [}:)]
Do you know the age divisions do they have a over 40's or over 45's.
Do they look at old school or will they score performance at a higher mark

Is there a division for drinking half a bottle of rum the night before

Check out the entry form for age divisions but I am pretty sure it will be over 40 and then over 50 etc. These comps are generally judged on a mixture of traditional and progressive and everyone judges !!!! yeah I know it's scary and I know squat about judging (generally look at the first score of the judge next to me for a benchmark and then I'm right) I am personally a really crap noserider and I doubt I have ever scored a point in my life for hanging ten but as long as you keep pulling turns you tend to accumulate a few points. There are also divisions for over 100kgs and sup and pretty much something for everyone - it's a good weekend.
AND PBA was still good this morning.
